This workshop will provide participants the opportunity to explore the variety of definitions of “innovation” in health professions education, as well as provide examples of and discuss opportunities for dissemination of innovations in health professions education.

-Define innovations in health professions education (HPE)
-Contrast an “innovation” with traditional research in HPE
-Apply guidelines from journal editors to critically analyze an innovations report
-Recognize opportunities to disseminate HPE innovations
-Reflect on current practices to identify personal innovations
